We Will Build Industrial Cluster – Governor Hope Uzodimma Assures Imo People

Governor Hope Uzodimma on Thursday assured the people of Imo State that he will build industrial cluster as part of his plans for industrial development in the state, and in keeping with the vision of his Shared Prosperity Government.

The governor gave the assurance during the flag-off of the Oguta Lake/Orashi River Development Project/Dredging of Oguta Lake/Orashi Eaterways at the Naval Base, Oguta.

He said: “Our palm oil industrialization program will allow us to re-plant the Adapalm plantation, and install basic refineries and industries that will use palm oil as a raw material.

“To further boost the economy of the region, my administration intends to establish an industrial cluster around the region to trigger industrial development.

“The emphasis shall be on the industries that will use the large gas deposit in the area as raw material for production.

“As you know, Imo State has the largest gas deposit in Nigeria today.”

The project was flagged off by the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
