Video: Angry Former Imo Speaker pour Away Kolanut At Public Function When Told Not to Re-contest

The former Imo Date House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Chiji Collins, have been captured on a viral video, pouring away the Kolanut set before him during a public function, after a youth leader told him not to re-contest in 2023.

Chiji Collins, who was impeached as Imo Speaker, upon the coming of Senator Hope Uzodinma as Imo governor, is currently in his second term, as the Isiala Mbano House of Assembly member.

From the video, trouble started when a youth leader from Eziama in Isiala Mbano, accused Chiji of nonperformance, urging the former speaker not to present himself again for a third term in office.

Chiji attempted to calm the young man down but the young man refused to keep quiet and continued speaking his mind.

That infuriated the former speaker, who threw away the tray containing the Kolanut which had been presented to him.
