Muslim-Muslim ticket: Why Northern govs back Tinubu, planning shared key positions – Adeyanju alleges
All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu and Northern governors have been accused of plotting a Muslim-Muslim ticket ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Deji Adeyanju, a socio-political commentator, said Tinubu and APC Northern governors had shared some key cabinet positions in government in anticipation of the party’s victory during the 2023 presidential election.
The Abuja-based lawyer made the allegation in a series of tweets on Tuesday.
He also named some Northern APC governors working with Tinubu in preparation to hatch their plans.
According to Adeyanju: “Tinubu and some Northern governors working with him are planning a Muslim/Muslim ticket. They have also finished sharing all the positions in Govt with many State Chairmen and party stalwarts in APC.
“Elrufai, Masari, Zulum & some Northern Govs backing the Southern president are all working for Tinubu. They have agreed to produce a Vice President and already shared key cabinet positions with Jagaban. Many people within the cabal of the president are resisting them.”
They insisted on a Southern president despite the endorsement of the Senate President, Ahamad Lawan, by the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu.
