MBAIKE 2023: Trouble as Nwawuba’s Former ally Assam gets ready to come for the PDP Ticket

…as group purchase PDP form for Nwawuba

The third term dreams of the Federal House member representing Mbaitoli and Ikeduru in the National Assembly, Rt Hon Henry Nwawuba, may be faced with a new hurdle, as his close ally from Ikeduru, Chief Victor Assams may soon join the race for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP ticket.

This is as a group of MBAIKE sons, polled resources together, to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms for the two-term lawmaker.

A source close to Assams revealed to CrudePen that he may soon be joining the race to truncate Nwawuba’s third term.

It is also believed that Assams may be enjoying some high powered support, that could guarantee him the ticket.

Assams recently shared vehicles as well as bags of rice amongst others, to the people of MBAIKE, through his Oyoyo Foundation.

It was also at Assams residence, that an aide to Rt Hon Henry Nwawuba, Mr. Samuel Nwokocha, was attacked and severely beaten up by people wearing Assams foundation t-shirts.

The battle to get the PDP ticket is getting more competitive by the day, with the likes of former governorship candidate of UPP, Osmond Ukanacho, Mr. Emeka Ikedi, Mr. Chinemerem Amara Egbuchulam amongst others, gunning for it.

While Akarachi Amadi seem most likely to grab the APC ticket, the likes of Uche Ogbuagu may battle him for a chance to face Nwawuba at the polls.

Ikeduru politicans are arguing that it is now the turn of Ikeduru to produce the next Federal representative, in accordance to a two-term agreement reached with Mbaitoli.

While supporters of the Nwawuba third term bid are of the opinion that Late Rt Hon Bethel Amadi went for three terms and as such Nwawuba should complete a third term, Ikeduru argue that Hon Uche Nwole, who went for one-term, completes Mbaitoli’s term of three.
