Keir Starmer Tiumph over Richi Sunak

Following Thursday’s General election in UK, UK’S opposition Labour Party won the parliamentary majority, unseating the incumbent Conservative after a decade and a half in power. Richi Sunak conceded defeat early Friday morning to the Labour Party. This came after Labour reached the threshold needed to fill the Prime ministerial office.

In the face of this, Sunak immediately exited the Downing Street and resigned as the Conservative Party Leader. Reactions trail his exit as a lot of questions are put as to what the future holds for Britons and foreign residents.

Keir Starmer, leader of Labour party therefore becomes the countries’ next prime minister. His party in the early hour of Friday rode over the incumbent.

During an audience at Buckingham Palace, King Charles 111 officially appointed Keir as prime minister of the United Kingdom. The king had earlier accepted the resignation later of Sunak. He therefore asked Kier to immediately form a new government.
