Imo: Uzodimma’s Family Under Pressure From Lobbyists
As all eyes focus on Governor Hope Uzodimma on those to be appointed for political positions in Imo State, members of the family are at the receiving end of constant besiege by Lobbyists seeking for appointments.
Uzodimma commenced his second term on January 15, 2024 and consequently sent packing all employed by the Government.
Surprisingly, unlike in the first term where Uzodimma quickly named key officials before that of Commissioners, which the constitution has a stipulated time for him to constitute, the governor is yet to make the appointments.
The delay, has however made some suspected lobbyists to deploy all manners of tactics to get the face of the governor to be appointed.
Trumpeta learnt that apart from using several tactics to get the face of Uzodimma, those who want to be part of the Uzodimma next administration are said to be putting pressures on the family members.
From phone calls to private visits, the family members, including the wife, brothers and in-laws are being besieged by the appointment seekers.
Many of the women in APC are said to be channeling their inquests to the wife while the men are concentrating on the brothers and in-laws.
As at the time of this report, Trumpeta was told that some of the relations of the governor are complaining of constant pressure from politicians seeking appointments from Uzodimma.
