Imo stakeholders endorse Uzodimma for 2nd Term
Few weeks to the commencement of the primary elections of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State, stakeholders from Owerri West Local Government Area, have endorsed Governor Hope Uzodimma for a second term.
Addressing newsmen in Owerri, yesterday, Victor Muruako, chairman of Fiscal, Responsibility Commission (FRC), who spoke on behalf of the stakeholders, said the governor has done well to deserve another term.
Reeling out his achievements, he said: “In recognition of the sincerity and great works of Uzodimma as Imo State governor, I hereby urge Ndi Imo to continue to support his excellency for a second tenure.
“I request that he be encouraged to continue the good works of which we are witnesses. For the records, this includes, but is not limited to improvement in general security, improved sense of responsibility in the management of public resources, massive infrastructural works, improved welfare services and many others too numerous to mention.
“Let us all, as lovers of our dear state, sink our differences and support Uzodimma for a second term in November.”
He also congratulated the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, for his victory at the presidential polls.
“I will not miss the opportunity to express my appreciation to Nigerians for electing Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shetima, as the president and vice president, respectively.
“I have no doubt the nation stands to benefit immensely from their rich experience, capability and mental strength.
“Tinubu is obviously coming with rich footprints in bridge-building, national healing, and development economics evidenced from his days as governor of Lagos State,” he said.
