Imo: “Okorocha is my brother,” – Uzodinma expends Olive branch to predecessor, Aggrieved members
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has extended a hand of friendship to his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha.
In same vein, Uzodinma also extended an olive branch to all aggrieved stakeholders in the State, including Okorocha.
Uzodimma was on Channels TV on Monday, where he revealed that he has nothing personal against Okorocha.
He went on to urge those who felt aggrieved, to come and team up with him in working for the State.
Uzodimma described his predecessor as his brother who took over from him as a Senator.
“Okorocha is my brother. He is occupying the seat I left in the Senate. I have nothing personal against him.
“All I’m asking is even if I have done anything that does not go down well with him or anybody, forgive and forget. Let us come together to work for our people,” he said.
The relationship between Okorocha and Uzodinma have been frosty, since the Supreme Court removed Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, and returned Uzodinma as the duly elected governor of Imo State.
Amongst other issues bothering mainly over the recovery of looted property by the Okorocha administration, both men have been battling over who has control of the party in the state.
While Okorocha, through Dan Nwafor is laying claim to the party structure, Uzodinma has MacDonald Ebere as the chairman of the party in the state.
