ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMMES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN CANADA

Categories of the scholarships

International Major Entrance Scholarships (valued at $10,000 to $20,000 per year

Outstanding International Student Award (valued at $10,000 to $25,000 per year).

Requirements

To be considered for any of these scholarships by the University of British Columbia, candidates

  1. Must be an International Student who is new to UBC and entering directly from secondary or Post secondary school.
  2. Besides, they must be International student studying on Canadian Study permit in UBC.
  3. Demonstrate strong academic achievements and extracurricular involvements. Volunteer works overseas are great shots.
  4. Lastly, not nominated for any merit based international awards.

Moreover, the scholarship provides travel allowance for beneficiaries and monthly stipend to cover significant part of the living expenses. However, candidates loose their scholarship as soon as they change their residence status to citizenry.
