Declare State of Emergency in Abia – Nwaogwugwu urges Buhari
…condemns killing of cattle traders and their cows in Abia
The former New Media Director of the Imo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the official friend of Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Mr. Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, have called on the Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government, to declare a state of emergency in Abia State, following the recent spate of insecurity and unrest in the state.
In an article published on his Facebook page, Nwaogwugwu accused the Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu of failing in his responsibility to the people.
The article made available to CrudePen, reads in full as follows:
“Federal government should as a matter of urgent public importance declare a state of emergency in Abia State.
“The level of abdication to duty by their governor has emboldened the terrorists and non state actors with the enffontry to operate with zero or little resistance from the state authorities.
“I hereby condemn in strongest terms the killing of cattle traders and their cows by terrorists loyal to IPOB.
“The recklessness of this terrorist sect must be condemned by all and sundry over the unprovoked targeted killing of foreigners in their midsts as this is an evil wind that will never be of any good bearing for anyone.
“The weakness of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in fighting these terrorists has become very disturbing and worrisome as it seemed like he has surrounded up his executive powers to non state actors to now make them operate with no resistance and gross impunity.
“I am also calling on our relevant security agencies to investigate the state for a possible collusion with non state actors because with the brigandage with which they operate with almost non resistance from state authorities seem like the governor has abandoned his duties and relegated same to the non state actors.
“Ambrose Nwaogwugwu.
