2024/2025 DAAD Scholarships for International Students

Applications to 2024/2025 DAAD scholarship for International students is open. As such, applicants are requested to send in their applications. Every year, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) provides financial support to over 100,000 German and international students around the world. It is interested in graduate researchers with high desire to stir global innovation. DAAD scholarship is awarded for study and research visit to universities and research institutions in Germany.

Furthermore, DAAD provides research grant for Doctoral candidates for all countries including Africa and Asia. Significantly, recipients of this grant are provided with both fund and research institute to stir quality result.

Scholarships for a Master’s degree are particularly available for industrial countries. African countries including Nigeria is not an exception. Importantly, it also provides opportunity for students who are facing the risk of being denied educational or other rights in the country of origin have the chance to apply for a scholarship from the Hilde Domin Programme. Potential candidates cannot themselves apply for participation in the scholarship programme but are nominated by an institution or organization that is a legal entity domiciled in Germany. Thereafter, suitable candidates will be contacted by the DAAD and invited to apply via the DAAD application portal.

Fundamentally, 2024/2025 DAAD Scholarships for International Students among other things usually consist of a monthly scholarship payment. Graduates are paid about  €934 while € 1,200  are paid for doctoral and a flat-rate travel allowance.

REQUIREMENTS

To apply, the following requirements are considered:

  1. Those with school-leaving certificate from an EU country can apply.
  2. Those whose school-leaving certificate was awarded from a different country needs to complete two or three semesters of comparable study in their home country.
  3. Those whose School-Leaving certificates are not recognized in Germany can enroll in a
  4. You will be expected to prove your proficiency in German through a language certificate or an on-site language test.
  5. For applicants who need visa to study in Germany, you are required to start early to be able to meet up with the duration for enrolment.
