Like Wike, Ihedioha betrayed Peter Obi – former PDP chief

A former New Media Director of the Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Mr Ambrose Nwaogwugwu, have accused the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, of betraying former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, despite enjoying Obi’s support in 2019.

This is coming as Ohanaeze Chieftain Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, frowned at Ihedioha for being too busy to host Obi during his visit to Imo, but cleared his schedule for Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

In a series of posts on his Facebook page, Nwaogwugwu showed videos and pictures of Obi’s visit where he urged Imo people to support Ihedioha in 2019.

Nwaogwugwu accused Ihedioha of conspiring with the State Working Committee to hide delegates from Obi, but brought them out for Tambuwal.

Recall that Rivers State governor and PDP Presidential aspirant Nyesom Wike last week, lambasted Ihedioha for what he termed as betrayal of trust, after Ihedioha tried to take away from oil well previously co-owned by both state. Ihedioha has yet to respond to Wike’s knocks.

He was also absent during Wike’s visit to the state to meet party officials.

Some of Nwaogwugwu’s post reads as follows;

“This first picture was Peter Obi in Owerri in 2019 campaigning for Ihedioha….

When it was time to pay him back in 2023, Ihedioha betrayed Obi (and the Igbos in extension) by openly campaigning for a SOKOTO man – Tambuwal against Obi his own brother.
Remember what Wike said about Ihedioha?

Wike said: “This is someone Rivers people, not Rivers State government, supported, and spent money on. I’ve never seen a betrayer like this (Ihedioha) in my life.

“Rivers people who helped him, had sleepless nights to make him the governor of Imo State. We did everything we could do, thinking that we were supporting a friend. All we got was a stab at the back.”

Like I wrote the other day, Ihedioha does not know friend nor brother – he can sacrifice just anyone for his selfish interests….. It is all about his stomach.”

“When Peter Obi was in Imo to consult with the delegates, Ihedioha connived with the SWC to hide the party delegates and Obi was forced to address only camera men and journalists….

Now, Tambuwal is in Imo for the same business, Ihedioha is not only there but has mobilized the party delegates for him…..
