OZB Finally dumps APC for PDP as he gets set for a second term

The Federal House of Representatives member representing Nkwerre/Isu/Nwangele/Njaba Federal Constituency and the House Committee Chairman on Justice, Rt. Hon. Ugonna Ozurigbo, has officially joined the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, at his Umuozu Ward in Nwangele LGA, Imo State.

This has brought to an end months of speculations over his political future with the All Progressives Congress APC.

Ozurigbo, who is an ally of the former governor Rochas Okorocha, has not been in the good books of the Gov Hope Uzodimma administration.

The former Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, also used the opportunity to make his intention to run for a second term of office under the platform of his new party, the PDP known to his people.

Addressing the Umuozu Ward Executive of the PDP, Hon. Ozurigbo took time to reel out some of his achievements as a federal lawmaker while assuring them that he would do even better if he wins in 2023, for a second term in office.

The Imo State APC has yet to formally react to Ozurigbo’s defection.
