Ihedioha, Nwawuba, PDP chiefs absent as Buhari, Uzodinma, Ohakim, others attend Iwuanyanwu son’s wedding
It was a roll call of chieftains of All Progressives Congress at the wedding ceremony of one of the son’s of an elder statesman, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.
At the reception which held in Owerri, the Imo state capital, on Monday, the governor of the state, Hope Uzodinma and his wife, Chioma, a former governor of the state, Ikedi Ohakim, minister of state for education, Emeka Nwajuba who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, house of representatives members, Chike Okafor and Miriam Onuoha, a house of representatives hopeful, Akarachi Amadi, a former Managing Director of Owerri Capital Development Authority, Innocent Ikpamezie, Prince Lemmy Akakem, a former chairman of APC in the state, Marcon Nlemigbo, Charles Amadi were in attendance.
But surprisingly only the national secretary of PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, was in attendance from the opposition party.
Other chieftains of PDP in the state like a former governor of the state, Emeka Ihedioha, former national woman leader of PDP, Kema Chikwe, the member representing Ikeduru/ Mbaitoli federal Constituency, Henry Nwawuba, and others were copiously missing at the posh wedding reception.
Iwuanyanwu until his retirement from partisan politics in 2021, was a member of the Board Of Trustees of the PDP.
