IMO PDP’S UNHEALTHY OBSESSION WITH GOVERNOR UZODIMMA

Credible sources have confirmed to GACIY how in a bid to stimulate even more anti-Hope propaganda, the Imo PDP imposes tasks on its new media militia, weekly. This week’s task, we understand, is ‘how do we humiliate Uzodimma?’ The assignment last week was ‘how do we make Imo State a laughing stock?’

While its Back of House conspire and facilitate state sabotage, the new media group, the front office workforce, serve the propaganda to de-market Imo State and embarrass the governor.

In pursuing these godless objectives, the party appears to have developed a fetish for Governor Hope Uzodimma as seen in the kind of articles it released over the past 72hrs.

Without any provocation, the party dragged Uzodimma into the leadership crisis in the Imo State House of Assembly. Before sunset, the cyber-hoodlums remembered the controversial search of Justice Mary Odili’s Abuja residence (a matter under investigation) and began reciting Uzodimma’s name all over, challenging him to cross swords with the Federal Government over the matter because, afterall, Justice Odili, their judicial idol, was born in Imo.

The world can now see that these people process ecstacy from reciting Uzodinma’s name and should not be taken seriously. We are not surprised that Imo PDP is transfixed by the image of the Governor afterall Uzodimma embodies Hope; our worry however is the soaring rate at which it mouth’s Uzodimma’s name in vain. This attitude of blaming Uzodimma for things it cannot comprehend is now injurious to the collective interest of Imo.

The PDP cannot bring itself to believe that Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma does not meddle in the affairs of the House of Assembly because all Emeka did during his illegal occupation of Government House was tamper with the autonomy of the legislature, pester the chamber with frivolous requests, force legislators to buy second hand goods from him among other despicable acts.

If not for lack of shame, would it ever point fingers at Uzodimma when it is common knowledge that Emeka paraded himself as both Governor and Speaker at once?

If the party wants to impress Mrs. Odili it can do so without throwing a tantrum afterall Emeka Ihedioha turned her to his chi complete with libations and burnt offerings when he needed the Supreme Court to rubber stamp his electoral heist in 2020 – fat offerings that pauperized Imo.

In the party’s calculation, because Justice Odili is first in the line of succession and is therefore most likely to become Chief Justice upon the retirement or incapacitation of CJN Tanko Mohammed, it is time to mark territory, through public display of affection at Uzodimma’s expense. These antics are dead on arrival.

As the pulse of the streets, GACIY wishes to counsel the PDP that to be taken seriously it needs to do the following and quickly:

1). Dissociate itself from and renounce all ungodly associations, groups, societies and cliques seeking the ruination of Imo through sponsored security breaches.

2). Return all illegally acquired state assets and tender unreserved apology for the electoral impossibilities that foisted Emeka on Imo people for a whole Seven and a half months.

3). Put its house in order and reconcile with Senator Anyanwu, the rejected stone that has become corner stone. This will help resolve the Paul and Barnabas conundrum that has left stalwarts in limbo since after the party’s national convention: ‘are we servants of SamDaddy or slaves to Emeka?; are we SamDaddy’s men or Emeka’s boys?’

When these are done, Imo people will induct the PDP as a credible opposition party and its commentary on governance will have meaning. Until then it remains a paper tiger trapped in past infamy, rejected by Ndi Imo.
