Fr. Kelvin Advices Those Working For Apostle Suleiman Following Deadly Attack

A Nigerian Catholic Missionary priest, Rev. Fr. Kelvin Ugwu  has reacted to the attack on Apostle Johnson Suleman’s convoy.

Naija News earlier reported that Suleman was returning from a trip on Friday evening when the gunmen opened fire on his convoy.

The development led to the death of seven persons.

“I just escaped an assassination attempt where seven people were killed. My car was attacked, they opened fire on my car and kept spraying it with bullets.

“My wife and my kids were there. The escort car was (of the) police. They killed the policeman, they killed the other people in the escort car and the buses with us.

“Seven people who were moving in the convoy were killed. People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names, so they’ll come out and deny it. I won’t do that.

“But the truth of the matter is this, you can’t kill me,” the cleric had said while blaming his detractors for the attack.

Reacting to that, Fr Kelvin urged those working for Suleman to ensure that they take necessary precautions as it seems the clergyman knows something that is capable of putting them at risk.

He also faulted the testimony of the clergyman, saying it was wrong to “use other people’s misfortune to elevate your their story”.

He pointed out that the life of the Apostle is not more valuable than that of the police officers and civilians who were murdered in the unfortunate attack.

“I have always said it here, when giving testimonies, be sensitive. Don’t use other people’s misfortune to elevate your own story.

“In their bid to assassinate you, seven persons were killed and you are like “my life is in the hands of God, nobody can kill me.”

“Well, I will not thank God that you survived the assassination, I will rather thank God that you admitted to knowing those that were behind the assassination and shooting.

“I call on the police and the government to take it up from there. The lives of those seven persons matter so much. The minister’s life is not more valuable than theirs. A full investigation should be opened immediately until those behind the shooting are arrested and given what they deserve by law.

“And for those working closely with the minister, I will advice you take necessary precautions because it seems he knows something that is capable of putting you at risk, which you may not be aware of,” Fr Kelvin posted on his verified Facebook page.
